Bits about C-35

After a two day search by me and tanmoy for a new PG a came across a nice small 3 storied building with a to let board and got a positive reply for 2 single rooms. The building looked quite neat and clean, rooms were spacious and facing the balcony. It was the kind of place i was looking for and in spite of a high price i settled for  it.
My room was located in first floor and had basic furniture and a air cooler. The neighbours in my new home were Darshil and Vishal and Tanmoy took a room just above mine in the second floor.
After some time i became great friends with everyone in the building. It contained 14 single rooms. The ground floor was occupied by the owner which meant that we could not make a lot of noise and so i missed the life at the old pg. Someone would tell me to decrease the volume whenever i played music full on. In our old place we had the bad habit of kicking the doors instead of knocking and banging them. That changed after a few scoldings.

The favourite pastime there was the terrace or the balcony where we would have long chats about whatever we could think about and crack lots of jokes.
Most of my friends in my PG gave fun a important place in their lives. Darshil was the most serious about studies and we always told him to stop studying and join us in the fun. My favourite place to satisfy my hunger was Vishal's room which never ran out of food stuff. Whenever i fell bored i would knock Vishal's or Darshil's door and have long chats or go to the second floor to talk to tanmoy or tushar bhaiya.
During XII when the juniors came we had another pass time. They had infinite queries and we also enjoyed helping them.
Overall the time spent there is unforgettable and an important part of my life. Thanks to all my friends there including darshil, vishal, tanmoy, tushar, shanky, abhay, gopal, abinav (we always called him chotu so i hope i remember his name rightly) and everyone else there who made it happen.

B453 - my first PG

Before going to kota i was very anxious about where i would be staying. I heard that if go late i would not get a PG in a good location. One friend of mine from siliguri, tanmoy, was going 4 days before me so i said him to book a room for both of us as early as possible. I did not regret that at all as it was a very nice PG and found some very good friends out there.
For the first 2-3 days we tried to know each other there . In the initial days we spend most of the time except the nights and mornings outside . Whenever anyone of us(me, tanmoy, sumit, raunak and siddharth) had some work we would go out together and roam about kota. Afternoons were hot so we went out at evenings after classes everyday.
Our favourite pastime inside was playing cricket with the sponge ball and a water bottle. We played a lot at night and stopped only when the guard (our owner had promised that he would keep a guard but instead he told a worker who stayed nearby to come to our pg at night sometimes and said us that he was the guard) threatened us that he would call the owner. I would go to the first floor and spend a lot of time there having fun and cracking jokes.
Our sunday outings usually included the restaurants or kota of movies. The birthday treats were fun except when it was mine.
Many times we would play loud music at our PG and sang loudly even at night. The fun decreased as i tried to get more serious about my studies but my performance did not increase proportionately. It is then i realised that you should never regret something that makes to laugh and keep smile as the most important part of life.
Thanks all my PG friends including tanmoy, sumit, siddhanth , raunak, akash, utkarsh, vivek, akash, abhijeet bhaiya and other seniors, the owner and everyone else for a fantastic time i had there.

Fun, academics and the education city

A little more than two years back after the much awaited class ten board exams i was told once more, "Just a few days more of studying for entrance exams of Bansal Classes, Kota and VMC, Delhi and then you can relax."
After getting admission in VMC's extended classroom course and Bansal Classes i decided in favour of Kota.
The second day in kota and during the orientation Bansal sir told us to start seriously studying now but i was in no mood of  it.
The first few days included  exploration of the non academic and interesting places of the education city. Initially classes were held in afternoon or evening. So there were many lazy mornings and we usually went out after classes, mostly to talwaldi circle. After dinner we went to millennium tower for a cold coffee or mango shake. Nights at our PG in the initial days was a lot of fun. At midnight we thought that its time now to do the home work for the next day which i would never complete. We usually ordered food from outside (hoping that we would study after eating). The food used to arrive after one or two hours after which we slept.
Initially i liked the maths classes but hated physics classes and chem was gud for the first few minutes. The maths teacher (ANA sir) was very good.
A confidence boosting moment came in the initial batch P6 after about 20 days when i was the only one to give the correct answer to the homework physics problem and my method was just one third of sir's. After that my interest in physics kept on rising till it became my favourite subject. The physics teacher's at bansal's were very gud. My favourites included AG sir, MKS sir and Anurag Mishra sir.
My first movie in kota was 99 at INOX. After our review tests on Sundays once in five weeks we usually went out for a movie. New York is my most memorable movie . We had gone to adlabs about 12 kms away from indra vihar to watch it as tickets in inox was not available.
My ranks kept on improving throughout class XI although i increased my studying hours considerable only in the last 2-3 months.
The diwali vacations were a time to go home after 7 months of  fun, studies and some moments of boredom at kota. During the week before going home i could think about nothing but home. The home trip was awesome.
Just before new year we (me and tanmoy) changed our PG from B-453 to C-35 and shifted to single rooms.
It took some time to get going with guys of my new PG but then we became great friends.
After XI we got a one month break. Even during it we were give lots of homework but i did none.
I tried to study a lot in the initial days of class XII but it lasted for about 4 months only.
After that my studying hours decreased. During the last one month i thought that now i cant study more and felt like going home as fast as possible
Back at home i realised that whatever i am today its because of the 2 years spent at kota. They were some of the most memorable days of my life. I learnt a lot about life there.
Thanks to all my friends and teachers at kota who made the glorious days possible.
